ECDL news Training Courses ECDL news According to Eurocenter Amoba ECDL Examination Centre, throughout
April and May 174 candidates were registered and 325 exam modules
were taken in the region (Covasna and Harghita counties). Following
a three-month training session, 24 local administrators are to
obtain their ECDL certificates. Training courses In May 84 participants accomplished their courses organised by
the training centre. Among the ten groups, seven were of informatics
(beginner and advanced), two languages (English and German) and an
economics group (IT accounting).

Global Teenager Projekt
The Global Teenager Project with 12 participating schools throughout
Romania has arrived to its 8th completed Learning Circles. The need
for further improving the quality of the project's learning method
and its implementation in compulsory education was once again
expressed by GTP coordinators at the yearly evaluation workshop
organised at Amoba Foundation. Likewise, for better monitoring and
continuous developing purposes, a student-teacher advisory board has
been proposed.
The agenda of the evaluation workshop also included the account of
each participating school, and the country coordinator’s report on
the results of the last two Learning Circles. According to these
statistical details the Romanian schools achieved an average 80%,
with two schools having a 100% performance (the Reformed Schools
from Sfantu Gheorghe and Odorheiu Secuiesc).
GTP also supports student and teacher development in IT and
languages (as basic skills of the project), offers international
certificates (ECDL and Pitman Qualifications) and organises summer
camps and group exchanges.
Training in nine different groups is planned to be launched during
this month. Likewise, the training course for the Pitman
Qualifications international English examination is in process with
the exam itself scheduled for the end of the month.
Eurocenter Amoba Training Center organises IT, foreign language,
economics courses, ECDL and Pitman Qualifications international
examinations as well as company and human management training with
foreign specialists.
